The True Essence

What is religion and what is its relationship with the notion of spirituality? This very question has been reverberating from the dawn of the human civilization. However, till now there has been no end to this controversy, since all have different opinions and most of them contradict instead of ending in a perfect unison. Even to the principal religions of the world there are different interpretations, due to their developments in different circumstances. While to many religion and spirituality are complimentary to each other, to others religion is nothing but a way of life and spirituality is the higher stage of attaining the Almighty or the Supreme. It can be said, as a result, that each religion uses these very notions for the sake of seeking a depth dimension and to actuate the pagans from the clutches of malicious beliefs, according to It, and also to lead the human beings to a definite way of transcendence that will provide norms and power for the rest of life. If we go by this conventional format we can term religion as a perfect organization of life around the depth dimensions of experience that includes both completeness and clarity.

On the other hand, it is also true that these various concepts of religion and spirituality, hitherto, have not been able to bring forth a golden foundation for the aggrieved humanity and also any such noble future. Furthermore, before the complexities of the present world like poverty, starvation and also international terrorism they are becoming mostly vulnerable. This inherent weakness has led to the rise of several dangerous trends in the international arena, the most prominent of that have been both religious fundamentalism and rabid terrorism. This has brought to the fore an uncertain future of the human civilization and the domination of blood and iron, which goes completely against the teachings of religions and spiritualism. For which it is high time for all religions to come together and pledge to struggle against the perils lying ahead. In this saga exists the truest message of ideal religion and spirituality.
